This Privacy Policy describes how Veins of Aldûn, operated by Hyper Blade, collects, uses, and protects information when you pledge to this crowdfunding campaign, sign up for updates, or play the game after launch.
What we collect
- Account information. Email address and display name, provided when you pledge or subscribe to updates.
- Payment information. Card and billing details are collected and processed by Paddle as the merchant of record. Hyper Blade does not store card details directly.
- Communication. Messages you send to support, Discord, or community channels are retained for response and moderation purposes.
- Gameplay data. After launch, the game collects character progression, combat actions, and other in-game telemetry necessary for the service to function. This data is associated with your account and is not sold to third parties.
- Technical data. Standard logs (IP address, browser type, device type) collected by web infrastructure for security and operations.
How we use it
- To process pledges and deliver backer rewards
- To send campaign updates, milestone announcements, and reward-delivery notifications
- To respond to your questions and provide support
- To operate the game and improve it based on aggregated, anonymised gameplay data
- To comply with legal and tax obligations
Third parties
- Paddle processes payments and is the merchant of record. Paddle's privacy policy applies to all payment data.
- Email service provider delivers backer updates and the newsletter.
- Google Play (after launch) handles app distribution and in-app payments under Google's policies.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your rights
You can request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion of that data, or opt out of marketing communications at any time. Contact hyperblade@veinsofaldun.com.
Retention
Backer records are retained for the duration of the project and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and reward fulfilment. Game account data is retained while the account is active and for a defined window after deactivation, as documented before game launch.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may change as the project develops. Material changes will be communicated directly to backers and posted to this page with an updated Last updated date.
